Non-Urgent Medical Transport
Gympie Medical Transport (GMT) is a volunteer-run charity providing safe, non-urgent medical transport for Gympie residents to appointments in Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast, Hervey Bay, and nearby areas, helping people stay independent at home.
Operating Monday to Friday, GMT’s volunteers provide door-to-door service - picking up clients from home, transporting them to appointments, waiting if needed, and returning them safely. Services cover a range of hospitals and medical centres and accommodate collapsible mobility aids like wheelie walkers for a comfortable journey.
Palliative Care
Katie Rose Cottage Hospice provides exceptional palliative care for those with life-limiting illnesses. Supported by Registered Nurses, specialised GPs, Assistants in Nursing, and Hospice Volunteers, they deliver compassionate, responsive care. Fully accredited against NSQHS standards, the hospice is committed to high-quality, person-centred care.
Set on three acres of lush tropical gardens in Noosa Valley, the 24/7 facility features three private ensuite bedrooms with courtyards, spacious shared areas, and tranquil spaces like a Japanese tea house and swimming pool - creating a homelike environment for guests and families to relax, reflect, and spend quality time together.
