Sunshine Butterflies strives to improve the lives of those with disability and their families.Sunshine Butterflies was founded in 2010 by Leanne and Damien Walsh whose son Curtis was born 13 weeks premature with Cerebral Palsy in 1995. Through Leanne’s experience, passion and dedication, the Sunshine Butterflies’ vision and mission to provide a better future for people with disability began.Sunshine Butterflies is more than a disability support service, our vision is empowering people with disability, by creating a unique and all-inclusive community..

Little Haven Palliative Care

Little Haven Palliative Care provides 24 hour on call nursing care and support to the terminally ill and their family, specialised equipment loan, complementary therapies and bereavement support at no cost to the patient. This support provided to 306 palliative patients and their families in the Gympie region in the 2022/23 financial year allowed them the dignity, care, comfort and confidence to remain in the place of their choosing. At the heart of our mission is enhancing quality of life so people can live as fully, independently and comfortably as possible. Our model of care values early access to palliative care at any time and on-call support to minimise need for hospital presentations.
